Poti Shidol (পুটি শিদল) is a fermented shutki delicacy made from Puti fish, widely loved in Sylheti and East Bengali households. It is prepared using a traditional fermentation process — fresh Puti fish is salted, stored in sealed earthen pots, and left to ferment naturally. Once ready, it is sun-dried to lock in its intensely bold aroma and rich, earthy flavor.
